ABOUT THE LIVEABOARD
The beautiful Ilike Indonesia is a traditional phinisi offering year-round trips in the stunning Indonesian archipelago. Itineraries cover dive areas such as Raja Ampat, East Flores, the Forgotten Islands, Alor, Triton Bay, and Komodo National Park and vary from short 5-night trips to longer 13-night trips. Onboard dive facilities include the spacious dive deck at the front of the boat, underwater camera setup and preparation area, 2 dive tenders for pick up and drop off, and nitrox for those certified (extra charge).
Topside, the MSY Ilike liveaboard caters to just 16 guests in 8 cabins. Each cabin has air-conditioning, private en-suite bathrooms, and port holes. Social areas include an indoor seating area and a spacious sundeck with loungers and hammocks – the perfect place to relax in-between dives or unwind with a cocktail at the end of the day whilst enjoying the spectacular Indonesian sunsets. The onboard chef freshly prepares meals – a mix of Indonesian and International cuisine, which will be served in either the salon with an open kitchen or the outdoor seating area protected from the wind.

Know More about the days
Day 1: KAIMANA
- Our staff will welcome you at your arrival at Kaimana airport, or will pick you up from your hotel if you are already in Kaimana. A short ride will transfer you to the boat. Departure as soon as clearance documents are ready, most probably at midday.
Day 2: TRITON BAY / 3-4 dives
- Black coral forests, groups of sweetlips everywhere, lots of groupers and other fishes, amazing soft corals up to the surface, impressive critters, this is in a few words what we can say about diving in Triton Bay and hopefully, the whale sharks near the fishing platforms. Optional short excursion with the dinghies in the early morning to see the incredible beaches, lagoons and birds of the area.
Day 3: TRITON BAY / 3-4 dives
- Black coral forests, groups of sweetlips everywhere, lots of groupers and other fishes, amazing soft corals up to the surface, impressive critters, this is in a few words what we can say about diving in Triton Bay and hopefully, the whale sharks near the fishing platforms. Optional short excursion with the dinghies in the early morning to see the incredible beaches, lagoons and birds of the area.
Day 4: MOMON / 3-4 dives
- Land excursion in the jungle looking for tree kangaroos. On the way back, we will bath in a waterfall falling right into the sea.
Day 5: PULAU PISANG / 3-4 dives
- Seventy miles south of Misool is the beautiful Pisang archipelago, where we'll dive off the surrounding islands. The corals are incredibly healthy and full of life in this remote area. You'll see giant elephant ears and swirling schools of a wide variety of fish, mantas, and turtles.
Day 6: MISOOL / 3-4 dives
- Some of the best dive sites in the world with its vibrant coral gardens, diverse marine life, and crystal clear waters. Divers can encounter large pelagic species such as manta rays, sharks, and giant trevallies, as well as colourful reef fish and critters.
Day7: MISOOL / 3-4 dives
- Some of the best dive sites in the world with its vibrant coral gardens, diverse marine life, and crystal clear waters. Divers can encounter large pelagic species such as manta rays, sharks, and giant trevallies, as well as colourful reef fish and critters.
Day 8: WAYILBATAN / 3-4 dives
- Colourful coral reefs, diverse marine life and crystal clear waters, it's a paradise for underwater enthusiasts. On land, visitors can experience the local culture and breathtaking scenery, including white sandy beaches.
Day 9: BALBULOL & FARONDI / 3-4 dives
- Cave and vertical walls and fantastic coverage of soft corals, a lot of fishes with schools of Platax, aggregations of snappers, bump head parrotfishes. We spend the night in the hidden lagoon, a very special anchorage inside an almost closed bay surrounded by high rocks. From the boat, we can hear and see the cachants before the night falls. We will go with the dinghies to have a look at another lagoon.
Day 10: PENEMU / 3-4 dives
- Explore unique sites such as My reef and Melissa's Garden, which offer spectacular scenery and an abundance of marine creatures. Trek to an amazing view point and a speedboat tour at Bintang lagoon.
Day 12: DAMPIER STRAIT / 1-2 dives
- Manta Sandy, Cap Kri, Sardine reef. (tides allowing), Unique experience with its stunning underwater landscapes, including coral reefs and pinnacles, and diverse marine life, such as pygmy seahorses, mantas, and sharks. The strong currents here make it an ideal for exciting challenges.
Day 13: SORONG
- Disembarkation after breakfast. Transfer to Sorong airport.
13 Nights
Day 1
- The crew will transfer the guests from the airport or hotel to the ship. After an excellent Welcome briefing by our Cruise Director, cabin allocation and ship orientation will take place - before embarking from the port. Guests can familiarize themselves with the vessel, set up equipment, and get comfortable.
Day 2-12
- We offer 3-4 dives daily, including a night dive if possible. When crossing only 2 dives a day can be scheduled.
Day 13
- Final day of diving with 1-2 scheduled dives - sailing back to the harbor.
Day 14
- We will start preparing for disembarkation. We say goodbye to our guests and wish them farewell! The crew will organize the transfer to the Airport and assist at check-in for onward flights.
- Pulau Koon is again a very remote location. It lies between the Ceram and the Banda Sea, feeding both very nutritious currents fish and corals thrive here. Triton Bay or the last frontier as we like to call it. In 2008 it was declared a Marine Protected area of 6000km sq km. Beautiful soft coral gardens, lush black coral forests, steep walls sloping coral bommies, and underwater pinnacles. Because of the huge plankton blooms in Triton Bay, it attracts some gentle giants. There have been regular sightings of the whale sharks. This is an area that has still so many places to explore and discover, we would love to take you on his spectacular adventure.
- The last dive will be on the penultimate day of the trip. Divers are recommended to wait for 24hours before flying after the last dive.
