ABOUT THE LIVEABOARD
MSY Seahorse Liveaboard is a luxury traditional Indonesian sailing Phinisi offering scuba diving trips and adventure charters to the best destinations of Indonesia. The classic beauty of The Seahorse Liveaboard combines traditional craftsmanship with modern conveniences and safety features providing charming comfort in the remotest waters of Indonesia.
Destinations include Raja Ampat, Komodo, Halmahera, Ambon, Banda Sea, Triton Bay, and Sulawesi.
Built in 2005 – entirely refurbished in 2018 – the Seahorse offers a level of comfort and safety among the best liveaboard dive boats in Indonesia. The Seahorse is a luxury and spacious vessel built by divers. She accommodates 16 guests in 5 twin and 3 Double bed cabins attended a crew of 12 and 4 Dive Masters.
All of the spacious cabins have individually controlled air-conditioning and en-suite bathrooms with hot water. Our two very spacious 22 feet custom-built aluminum tender boats will make your experience of going in /out of the sea very easy and comfortable. Towels and toiletries, soap, shampoo, and toothpaste are provided onboard.

Day 1
- Sorong - Check in from 6am - 12pm.
- MSY Seahorse crew are standing by to welcome you onboard. Safety Briefing, Crew Introduction, Necessary Dive Paperwork, Cabin allocation and ship orientation will take place before departing. During the first day take this opportunity to familiarize with the vessel and make yourself comfortable. *Note: This is a sample itinerary and nº of dives, dive sites, etc. may be subject to change due to weather conditions and other unforseaable factors.

Komodo
Day 1

Day 2
- Gili Islands
- 3-4 Dives
- Pristine water, nice surrounding, turtles and reef sharks...easy dives to start the cruise.
Day 3
- Moyo & Satonda
- 3-4 Dives
- Arrival in the late morning to Moyo, North West part of Sumba, we will have 2 dives. Sailing to Satonda offer a nice treck, at nightfall we can see bat flights. Night dive will be lead at Satonda too. Then we will prepare for an overnight sailing to Sangeang.
Day 4
- Pulau Sangeang
- 3-4 Dives
- Pulau Sangeang and his majestic volcano, also a community of boat builders living there with their family. We will do 3 dives on the black sand of this beautiful volcanic island. Soft and black corals, very colorful and contrasting with the black sand. Lots of macro. Volcanic gas releases. Night dive. Navigation to the entrance of the Komodo Park
Day 5
- North Komodo
- 3-4 Dives
- In the north, you can find a collection of the world’s most beautiful selection of reefs, boasting a rich combination of hard and soft corals, shoals of antheas, wrasses, angelfishes, and also predators—reef sharks, tunas, and giant kingfishes. North Komodo offers a wide variety of dives: pelagic dives with sharks in strong currents, gentle drift dives, wall dives (colorful drop-offs, monumental boulders, seamounts, pinnacles and sandy slopes).

- Another day In the north, we will dive some hightlight sites as Shotgun or Golden passage, the plan is 3 day dives plus a night dive.End of the day ascending a mount to admire the sunset and the magnificence of Komodo mountains.
Day 7
- Central Komodo
- 3-4 Dives
- You are now in the central area of Komodo protected marine park, with clear and warm waters. The dive choice depends here greatly of the tides, as some of them must imperatively be dived at a certain stage of the tide. Sites offered are Batu bolong (a rock with dramatic seascape, huge boulders, and prolific fish life including reef sharks, napoleon wrasses, giant trevallies, etc) , Batu Mandi, Tatawa Besar ( a drift with the best soft corals of the park) , Tatawa Kecil, Siaba…and more.
Day 8
- South Komodo
- 3-4 Dives
- Starting the day diving 2 times at famous Manta alley with majestic mantas! Heading to Nusa code aka horse shoes bay, afternoon dive and night dive. In Nusa code you will see more soft corals with amazing profusion of colors, and much more macro…as Cannibal rock a world class macro heaven. The water is rather cold and the temperature can drop to 22 ° C in July and August.
Day 9
- Central Komodo
- 1 Dives
- We go ashore for an excursion to the island of Rinca where we will observe the Komodo varangs and admire the panorama from the heights. Dives on Batu Bolong and Karang Makasar (Mantas), and night dive at Wanilu
Day 10
- North Komodo
- 1 Dives
- Last dive of the cruise will be Castel rock or Crystal rock then navigation back to Labuanbajo. Evening in near Labuanbajo.
Day 11
- Labuan Bajo (check out)
- Airport-boat transfers from/to the closest airport (departure and arrival)
