ABOUT THE LIVEABOARD

The 50m Scubaspa Yang liveaboard is the sister vessel to the Scubaspa Ying which offers year-round diving holidays in the Maldives. Winner of multiple awards, the Scubaspa Yang offers a true luxury diving experience in the Maldives. Up to 40 guests can be accommodated onboard in 10 cabins and 9 suites, of which there is a choice of queen, king, or twin bed configurations. One suite and one cabin can be converted into a triple to accommodate 3 guests. All cabins feature en-suite bathrooms and individually controlled air conditioning and the 9 suites located on the main deck all offer panoramic sea views.

The restaurant is located on the main deck and is where three buffet-style meals plus an a-la-carte menu are served. There are live cooking stations and internationally qualified chefs are able to cater to all dietary needs. There is also an alfresco dining area at the rear of the main deck and there will be the opportunity to enjoy a BBQ on a deserted island during your stay. The onboard spa is 300m2 with 6 treatment rooms, including a double room for couples.

Diving from the Scubaspa Yang takes place from the accompanying dive dhoni, which carries all the equipment, including the air compressors, nitrox filling station, rinse tanks, and dive equipment storage. Experienced multi-lingual dive instructors and divemasters can cater to all diving levels and abilities. As a PADI 5 Star Dive Resort, a variety of courses, from beginner to advanced can be taken on board. Itineraries cover the ‘Best of Maldives’, which includes the Male Atolls, Ari Atolls, and Rasdhoo & Vaavu Atoll, and is available all year, except for February & March when the Scubaspa yacht travels to the ‘Deep South’ for more remote diving suited to more experienced divers.

    Cabins

Our sumptuous and spacious Sea Star Cabins are all situated on the lower deck. Every one is air-conditioned and has its own en-suite shower room. All Sea Stars have a queen-size double bed. Each cabin is generously fitted with two opening Portlights. We have taken great care in ensuring that every detail of the cabin design harmoniously intertwines with the selected materials to create something we hope you will truly enjoy.
Our Cowrie suite nestles snugly in the bow of the lower deck. This uniquely individual suite has a shape all of its own. Not only does it have a king-size double bed but its size allowed us the luxury of fitting a sofa that can be transformed into a very comfortable third bed. As the Cowrie spans the width of the bow it benefits from having four opening Portlights. This lavish air-conditioned suite also has a truly jaw-dropping ensuite which houses the largest shower on-board … Go on, spoil yourself.
Our beautifully designed Dolphin suites are placed on the main deck and are totally stunning. Not only do they have a ‘king-size’ double bed, but these majestic suites have been designed to also accommodate a seating area. The Dolphins with their gorgeous ensuites would be fabulous enough, but as we want you to truly experience the Maldives, even when you are in your room. To achieve this, we have placed huge three metre wide panoramic windows, set directly into the hull with no companionway outside, thus no foot traffic. Prepare your senses to be spoiled.
Situated on the main deck the Manta suites are the largest rooms on-board. Most of these suites have a bed that can be used as twin beds or a “bigger-than-super-king” double bed. But don’t worry, when used as a double, there isn’t the unpleasant gap between the mattresses. With the very generous size, the superbly appointed seating area and the panoramic three metre wide window, the Mantas benefit from a feel of light and space you rarely find on any safari vessel. The huge windows are set into the hull so there is no companionway outside, giving you total privacy and apart from the occasional boat or sea bird your views will be uninterrupted. We know you’ll be more than a little blown away!!
*All rooms include daily housekeeping and complimentary breakfast buffet.
