ABOUT THE LIVEABOARD
TheTambora is a 42-meter/138-feet-long liveaboard taking 16 guests in 8 cabins on diving safaris in Indonesia. There are 2 double and 6 twin cabins, all with individually controlled air conditioning and an en-suite bathroom with hot water. There is a dedicated camera room for storing and maintaining underwater camera equipment. Five freshly prepared meals are served daily, a blend of Indonesian, European, and Japanese specialties; soft drinks, water, tea, coffee, and beer are all included. Liquor and a wide selection of wines are available for an additional cost.
Guests can enjoy meals in the salon, with a TV/DVD with home cinema surround sound, or take in the ocean views in one of three lounge decks. The dive tender carries guests to and from some of the finest dive spots in Indonesia. Destinations covered by the Tambora include Raja Ampat, Triton Bay, Banda Sea, Ambon, Sulawesi, and Halmahera. From wreck diving, encountering macro marine life, drift diving alongside pelagic creatures, or discovering concealed bays and islands, a liveaboard trip aboard the Tambora is an unforgettable experience.

Day 1: Sorong-Misool
- Arriving at no more than noon. Check dive Cruising to Misool - South approximately 12 - 14 hours Upon arrival in Misool, you will have the opportunity to participate in a check dive to ensure your equipment is functioning properly and to acclimate yourself to the underwater environment. Afterward, during this time, you can relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings as you make your way to your diving destination.
Day 2-10:
- 3-4 dives per day
- Possible dive sites: Balbulol-Wagmab, Yilliet, Warakaraket and Fiabacet, Balok and Wayil Batan, Andiamo, and Warna Berwarna.
Day 11: Sorong
After checking out of Sorong, take some time to explore the city and immerse yourself in the local culture. Visit the bustling markets, try delicious Indonesian cuisine, or even embark on a land excursion to nearby natural attractions. As you bid farewell to this unforgettable diving adventure, cherish the memories and start planning your next underwater exploration.
The last dive will be on the penultimate day of the trip. Divers are recommended to wait for 24 hours before flying after the last dive.
