Beqa Lagoon Resort is a boutique dive-focused hideaway on Beqa Island, offering just 25 traditional Fijian bures and suites surrounded by tropical gardens, koi ponds, and a fringing reef just offshore. Guests come for world‑class shark encounters, colorful soft‑coral reefs, and easy access to Beqa Lagoon, while enjoying full‑service dive facilities, an oceanfront infinity pool, spa, and all‑inclusive style meal plans. The resort is especially popular with dedicated dive groups and underwater photographers thanks to its on‑site PADI 5‑Star dive center, nitrox availability, and purpose‑built dive boats.

 

Location
Beqa Lagoon Resort is located on Beqa Island, off the southern coast of Viti Levu in Fiji, within the protected waters of Beqa Lagoon and the Great Beqa Reef. The island itself has no roads or towns, only a few coastal villages, giving the resort a remote, “off‑the‑grid” feel while still being relatively easy to reach.


To get there, guests typically fly into Nadi International Airport (NAN) on Viti Levu, then travel about 2.5 hours by road along the Coral Coast to Pacific Harbour Marina before boarding the resort’s boat for a roughly 45‑minute crossing to Beqa Island. Boat transfers between Pacific Harbour and the resort follow a set daily schedule, and many package options include both ground transfers from Nadi and the boat ride to the island.

    • Many dive guests follow a 7‑night pattern combining daily boat diving with optional shark dives, cultural experiences, and time to relax at the pool or spa. Shorter 4–5‑night stays are also possible, often focusing on the marquee shark dives and a sampling of local reefs.
    • A typical 7‑night diver program might include: daily two‑tank morning boat dives, one or two scheduled shark‑feed days, optional afternoon or night dives, plus non‑diving days to enjoy waterfalls, village visits, and spa treatments. Non‑divers often build itineraries around snorkeling, kayaking, cultural shows, and day hikes while sharing the same all‑inclusive style meal plan as divers.

    The main Bure Kalou restaurant is an open‑air dining house overlooking the lagoon, complemented by the Bula Bar and a beachfront bonfire area where guests gather in the evenings. A large beachfront infinity pool with sun loungers and shaded seating anchors the social area, while the Lali Spa, boutique, and seminar/yoga room add comfort and services for groups, retreats, and workshops.

    Ocean Kayaks – Explore the calm waters of our lagoon with complimentary use of our ocean kayaks. Stand Up Paddle Boarding – The tranquil waters of the Lagoon are excellent for this sport and boards are complimentary.
    Waterfall Tour – Guided hikes to the waterfall are available or guests may venture at their leisure. It is a moderate uphill hike and proper foot attire is advised.
    According to Fijian legend, one of our waterfalls and its pool is the source of knowledge and power to the Firewalkers.
    Cultural -The Fijian people are rich in culture. You will be invited to join our staff in walking tours to the local villages, Kava ceremonies, lovo cooking and coconut shows,
    witness the legendary fire walkers and ancient warriors dancing. Authentic Fijian music can be heard nightly at the resort.
    Beach Picnic – If you would like a private picnic on a remote beach, please let us know in advance & we will be happy to pack a delightful lunch for you.

    Mount Agung Sunrise Trekking (3,142m): The long route from Besakih takes about 14 hours; the short version is a mere(!) 8 hours (from Pura Agung, 1,500 m).

    “Telaga Waja” wildwater rafting: Two and a half hours of pure fun amid stunning scenery! Can be combined with a visit to the Besakih temple or Tirtagangga/silversmith.
